Who's on Twitter?

Twitter has been getting bigger and more popular lately. It seems that anyone who's anyone, which means pretty much everyone, is on Twitter.

This now includes celebrities. There are Wil Wheaton and MC Hammer, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Shaquille O'Neal and Greg Grunberg.

The only problem with following these people, if they are who their mini bios claim to be, is that they don't follow everybody who follows them. Following somebody who follows you is a matter of politeness.

I guess once you achieve success, politeness becomes an unnecessary concept. This is sad since it is so easy to be polite to people online.

Hi--I'm not a big fan of the big wigs in Hollywood so I would not follow them--who knows if it's really them on Twitter anyway!

As far as the follow back, I do this 90% of the time...however, I do read bios and won't follow someone who has no updates and no pic. In fact, I DM them and tell them that. If nothing changes in a few days, I just block them.

I want to follow people who can hold a conversation (even at 140 characters) or at least amuse me...so I don't want to follow those who soley come to Twitter to spam their biz.

Great post.
